Did you know that Ozzy Osbourne almost died in 2003 in a quad crash? That’s right, the man who some believe can’t be killed crashed his 1996 Yamaha Banshee, leaving him with cracked vertebrae, broken collarbone, and eight broken ribs. He made a full recovery, and the Banshee went untouched for almost 20 years until it was sold at auction for $12,893 earlier this month through Cars & Classics.

The ‘96 Yamaha Banshee was sold at an auction in 2007, along with the rest of the Osbourne family’s collection of quads and bikes. After that, it was unclear what happened to the quad. Thankfully, it has gone completely unchanged since the crash. It even has the huge dent in the front bumper and crack on the rear wings. The Banshee came with the original owner’s manual, which has a hand-written note that says, “Be safe,” presumably written by Ozzy’s wife.

Should’ve been a bit more clear, Sharon.

Whoever ended up purchasing the quad got quite the deal. Not only is the Banshee regarded as one of the greatest sport quads of all time, but it was owned, and crashed, by the Prince of Darkness himself. I don’t know about you, but I would’ve gladly given $12,893 for it.
