Are you all ready to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri? Many are already back in their hometowns, preparing for the big day, which is most likely to fall on Wednesday. But if you’re yet to balik kampung, you might be able to take advantage of free toll, applicable today and tomorrow (April 8-9).
To clear up any confusion, the works ministry has released a ‘did you know?’ infographic, which explains that if you enter the highway on April 7 and exit on April 8, you will get your toll fare waived. However, if you enter the highway on April 9 and exit past midnight, on April 10, you will not receive free toll.
This means that it all depends on you exit time, which has to be between 12.01 am on April 8 (today) and 11.59 pm on April 9 (tomorrow), so take note if you want to enjoy the perk.
PLUS also released an infographic with that reminds users that the toll-free offer is only for Class 1 private vehicles, and is valid everywhere except for toll plazas at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (Causeway) and Tanjung Kupang (Second Link) in Johor.
There are a couple of reminders too, to ensure that you get to enjoy the free toll and traffic flow is smooth – Touch n Go users still need to tap in and out (ensure that your card is still valid), SmartTag users should ensure that the device has a working battery, and RFID users must enter and exit via RFID lanes. Plan your journey with the MyPLUS-TTA (travel time advisory) in the PLUS app. Drive safe!
