After five days of racing in Switzerland, in one of the most hotly contested editions of the race in years, 23-year-old Carlos Rodríguez emerged victorious at the Tour de Romandie, as he sealed the overall victory with a third place finish on the queen stage to Leysin.

Having already finished in the top-10 at both the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España in his career, the Ineos Grenadiers rider was a well-respected GC contender prior to this season and he has continued to go from strength to strength in 2024. Earlier this month, Rodríguez finished second overall at Itzulia Basque Country with a win on the final stage of the race.
