Wisconsin might be best known for its delicious cheeses, but the hand-shaped state has hundreds of miles of UTV/ATV trails with challenging terrain and scenic views. To help riders stay safe in the Wisconsin woods, Answer Racing recently announced a program to support the state’s Trail Ambassador Program and fund safety training courses.

The Trail Ambassador Program has trained more than 1,000 volunteers since its inception in 2002. They work the state’s trails, conduct safety assessments, and maintain relationships with land owners and state officials. Its programs in summer 2024 focus on youth UTV/ATV safety and will cover basic safety practices, both for riders and passengers in larger vehicles. Young riders will have an opportunity to win Answer Racing gear, including gloves, goggles, and helmets, and the training programs will offer fitting training for safety equipment.

The industry contributes significantly to Wisconsin’s economy, with around $5.4 billion hitting the bank each year. Officials said the state has seen an explosion in participation over the last few years, with more growth expected to continue.

Answer Racing sells all manner of gear, from body and eye protection to helmets and youth gear. The company has been in business since 1976 and sponsors riders from all levels and disciplines. While this type of partnership is a relatively new endeavor for Answer, it previously sponsored the BarX Suzuki 250 team and several youth riders.

The Answer Racing partnership starts this month and will run through the end of the summer. The Wisconsin Trail Ambassadors will select winners from the pool of kids entered in the drawing for gear.
