Volkswagen is bringing an electric van to Australia, and it slides in just at just under $80,000 before on-road costs.

The ID. Buzz Cargo is the load-hauling version of the new ID. Buzz people mover, and is arriving in Australia in December.

Just one variant will be offered, priced at $79,990 before on-road costs. It’s only available with the shorter of the ID. Buzz’s two wheelbase lengths, and only with rear-wheel drive.

It’ll enter a growing electric van market in Australia, which includes battery-powered load-luggers from Ford, LDV, Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot.
